Hi There!

I'm Tayla - the creator, filmmaker & editor behind JADÈ Films.  I've been filming weddings for over 7 years now; I discovered my interest for video in high school but it wasn't until during university degree in photography & design that I discovered the world of weddings.  I feel very lucky to have found  & created a 'job' that allows me to use my creativity but to also make something with meaning for real people and capture real memories!  

FNQ has been my home for the last 12 years, originally hailing from Waikerie in South Australia.  Whilst SA will always be my first home I couldn't imagine living anywhere else but Cairns/Port Douglas now. If I'm not at or editing a wedding you'll find me on local adventures hiking or on the ocean with my boyfriend and border collie pup, enjoying my family time and often indulging in a little wine and cheese.  

I love the emotion behind weddings and elopements, big or small.  Give me tears, give me personal vows, give me your unique wedding & my work will shine at it's best!  I love working with couples who can put their trust in me and have created their day around what is special to them as a couple.  I believe that capturing special one-in-a-lifetime memories on video can be so powerful and video allows you to re-live and hear moments & words again that would otherwise be forgotten in photographs alone.  Your wedding video will be able to outlive all of us and become such a special heirloom.
