Jac and Heath Bennett are wedding photographers (and videographers) based conveniently in the middle of the Hunter Valley, Sydney and Newcastle. Weddings are now their main focus, while Heath's background in commercial photography included paying clients such as Top Gear UK, Masterchef, Grand Designs AUS/UK/NZ, Australian Fashion Weekend, Sanitarium Health Food, Qantas Magazine, Kevin Murphy and WatsonXWatson (Mercedes Benz Fashion Week), and many others. Heath has also lectured at a tertiary level in photography. All that just means they know how to take a photo. Your wedding photography needs to feel effortless. Jac and Heath are fine with capturing what is happening silently, or becoming involved when direction is needed. They want the focus to be on you, and to make the day as enjoyable as possible. Wedding videography is something Jac and Heath are passionate about as well. There's nothing that can bring emotion back as much as a wedding film. On Jac and Heath's wedding day, a friend secretly recorded a film and later gave it to them. Even in its shaky awkward glory, this video means so much to them to this day. They just now wished they'd hired a professional! Perhaps the most important thing in choosing who to capture your wedding is if they suit your personality. Jac and Heath make a point to meet any clients that have the time before the wedding day. In the end this only tends to be half of their clients however, life gets in the way and planning a wedding is a lot of work ;) As a husband and wife team, Jac and Heath are able to shoot weddings together or separately. Their most unusual request they've ever heard was being asked to shoot a wedding completely naked, as the guests and everyone else would be. Jac and Heath reside in Catherine Hill Bay, NSW in a house that they designed from scratch and helped put together. They have shot weddings locally and in NZ, Indonesia and the US. They previously did six months stints at a time between the US and Australia, but now have two young children and spend eleven months a year in Australia. Corona has put an end to that for now, but as Jac is from the US, it will continue as soon as it's possible. Even though Jac and Heath have shot 300+ weddings, they still get teary during a good wedding. They feel connected to their work emotionally. They are aware of how fortunate they are to be able to be with people on one of the best days of their lives, and then to be home with their kids the majority of the week to spend quality time with their kids Aubrey and Ruth. Writing 500 words for Jac and Heath has been a bit of a challenge, but hopefully it wasn't too much of a yawn-fest. Jac and Heath are happy to answer all the questions you have, and are happy to customise anything to suit your wedding.
